| Kensington Stereo Dock for iPod
Sure, anyone can hook their iPod up to a home stereo with a Y-minijack-to-RCA cable, but it doesn't look so elegant lying next to your components in a nest of wires, does it? Kensington's Stereo Dock for iPod ($90) tidies up the mess with its sleek, ice-white dock and discreet RCA and power cables. Just plug in your dock-connector iPod, grab the flyweight remote (with a backlit, five-way control that resembles the iPod Click Wheel), and start cranking your tunes. We like how the dock charges your iPod during playback, but the remote's performance was a little spotty beyond 15 feet or so. |

| Kensington Accessory Adapter for iPod Shuffle
Does your dock connector-free Apple iPod Shuffle feel left out when it comes to the wide world of iPod accessories? Show your Shuffle some iPod add-on love with the Kensington's Accessory Adapter ($20), a small ice-white module with a USB port for your iPod Shuffle on one end and a dock connector on the other. The adapter is perfect for plugging your Shuffle into speakers, FM transmitters, and other accessories that require a dock connector. Unfortunately, it won't send commands to the Shuffle as some iPod add-ons are designed to do. |

| Belkin iPod Voice Recorder
If you were among the throngs of iPod owners wishing Apple had included a voice-recording feature for memos, lectures, and meetings, the Belkin iPod Voice Recorder is for you. Plug it into the top of a docking iPod (with the latest firmware) to record voice memos, then upload to your computer. There's even a miniature built-in speaker to play back recordings you've already made. Memos automatically sync with iTunes so that you can listen to recordings back at your desk, as well as e-mail or upload them. |

| XtremeMac MicroShield for 60GB iPod video
Unfortunately, we had several issues with the case's design. First, since the two shields rely on the contours of the iPod to lock onto the case, we were a little nervous clipping the MicroShield to our belt. There's no locking mechanism to stop the case from accidentally getting split into three pieces. Second, we're concerned with the fact that both the top and bottom of the iPod are fully exposed. Sure, it's nice to be able to sync up your player without taking it out of the case, but with a name like MicroShield, we thought that the thing would at least encompass all six sides of our iPod. |

| DLO Jam Jacket Pro for iPod mini (clear)
Show off your iPod Mini at the gym with the DLO Jam Jacket Pro, a translucent rubber case that fits around the player like a second skin. The Jam Jacket won't save your iPod Mini from long drops, but it will blunt most scratches and scrapes, and the 2.25-inch-wide armband will appeal to runners (although we still don't recommend jogging with your iPod). A thin, clear window protects the screen, and you can access the scrollwheel and the dock connector through a pair of openings. Note: This product is part of the DLO Jam Jacket iPod mini series. See all products in the DLO Jam Jacket iPod mini series. |

| Aneta Genova Christian iPod Case (Black w/ silver)
This shiny black case is all about looks. The Anetagenova Christian has neither openings for accessing the iPod's controls nor a slot for the dock connector. You won't even find a window for the display. What it does have, however, is style. The black leather case sports a eye-catching silver stripe down the middle, a strap on the top left to--more or less--secure your iPod, and a metal clasp in place of a (hopelessly uncool) belt clip. At $79, the pricey Christian won't do much to protect your iPod from scrapes or falls, but it looks fabulous. |

| Griffin iClear for iPod nano
The Griffin iClear polycarbonate case for the fifth-generation Apple iPod is Griffin Technology's latest endeavor in the world of iPod cases. This time around, the makers have chosen a transparent two-piece case that snaps around your iPod to protect it from the wear and tear of everyday usage. Griffin also includes two separate backings for both the 30GB and 60GB iPod models in order to ensure a secure fit. Once installed, the iClear does not cover the scroll dial, though it's recessed far enough into the casing to prevent major damage. As with most cases, there are cutouts to accommodate the headphone jack, the dock connector port, and the hold switch. For $20, the Griffin iClear is an inexpensive solution for minor dings and scratches but probably won't hold up to a long fall. In addition, users should beware of objects that might damage the vulnerable scroll dial. |

The Belkin iPod Media reader supports all types of storage cards and makes transferring and storing photos on the go a painless process. |

| Kensington Digital FM Radio and Transmitter for iPod
Not just another FM transmitter for the Apple iPod, the Kensington Digital FM Radio and Transmitter ($80) lets your tune in to your favorite FM stations when you're not broadcasting your music to the nearest radio. The compact add-on plugs into your iPod's dock connector and features four FM presets; just click the Mode button to turn the device into an FM transmitter. However, you'll have to yank your earbuds out of your iPod and plug them into a separate minijack on the Kensington to listen to the radio--not the most elegant solution, we'd say. |
